Colour: Greenish blue
Clarity: The best quality are eye-clean, transparent gems. Some carry inclusions of long, hollow rods which is a trademark of Beryl.
Treatments: They can be heat treated to remove some of the green colour and leave an all blue Aquamarine.
Care and Cleaning: Cleaning by ultrasonic and steam is mostly safe unless they include fractures.
